What does choosing the perfect fabric look like?

What does choosing the perfect fabric look like?

It’s been a little over two months since you last heard from me, and I wanted to give you a behind the scenes update. Since my last post, I’ve started sourcing my fabrics. What this means is that I contacted various textile vendors and asked them for samples of fabric. The top things I’m looking for are fabrics that have stretch, are soft against the skin, and have a wide range of colors. So far, I’ve received sample cards from 5 different companies and think I’m really honing in on what I want to use. Progress!

Once I finalize the fabrics I want, the next step is to test them out. I’ll order a larger sample of fabric and then do what I can to see how it reacts to washing, wearing, and everything else under the sun. I want to make sure that the fabrics I pick are not only a good fit for me, but a good fit for you!

Outside of that, I’ve been continuing my education of the manufacturing process. I’m hoping that by the time my manufacturer is taking on new clients again, I’ll be ready to forge ahead. I’ve even narrowed down my first set of designs, and I’m so, so excited to share them with you!
