May/June Guild Party Update: Looking for Models
I don't know about you, but May flew by faster than I anticipated. I had such high hopes for releasing something, but due to factors out of my control, there are still delays. I'm realizing quickly to temper expectations and that things will happen when they happen. Coincidentally, the fabric delays I faced a few months ago mean that all my samples are now going to be ready at he same time!
So what have I been up to? I started the long process of moving everything over to a Shopify website. I'm also finalizing everything that's going to be available in the first release in addition to creating some fun surprises for those of you who buy from the first collection. I'm also starting to work on ideas for future releases. It's all an interesting juggling act that I'm still figuring out. But that brings me to what's next, the photoshoot! This is the part I've been looking forward to. Being able to see all the hard work come to life. I'm currently working with the photographer to determine an art direction for the shoot. That also means I'm starting to look for models for my pieces. If you're in the LA/OC area and fit any of the criteria below, send an email to
contact@guildparty.com
4 models that can fit the following measurements:
xs 34" chest 26" waist
m 38" chest 30" waist
xl 43.5" chest 35.5" waist
2x 46" chest 38" waist
You don't need to be a professional model, but must be comfortable in front of the camera. The fabric is very stretchy, so if you're close to the measurements, it should be fine. The rest of the garments are looser in fit. Also, if you're a fan of D&D or fantasy, that's definitely a plus but not a requirement.
Since this will be an indoor studio shoot, I'm asking that all models and other positions be vaccinated for covid safety. Also, I'd prefer friends or friends of friends for this first shoot.
I'm also looking for someone to do hair and make up that has experience working with BIPOC.
Lastly, I'm looking for a stylist to help me day of and possibly before if we need things for the shoot.
Mid July is what I'm shooting for and it should be roughly 4 hours. So if that sounds like you, or you know anyone who's interested, please send them my way.
